Cross Creek Landscape Design & Build

About Cross Creek Landscape Design & Build

Cross Creek started with a promise made on a cold bathroom floor - a commitment to follow Jesus wherever He led, even when the path seemed impossible. What began as one man knocking on doors in Coeur d'Alene with nothing but faith and a borrowed trailer has grown into a $2.5 million luxury landscape design and build firm with offices in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Spokane, Washington, and plans to expand further.
But growth was never the goal. Bringing heaven to earth was.
We exist because Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. He rescued our founder from darkness and gave him a vision - not just for a business, but for a life surrendered to obedience. Every project we take on, every client we serve, every decision we make flows from that surrender. This isn't a company that happens to have Christian owners. This is a ministry that designs and builds outdoor living spaces.
Today, we transform luxury landscapes along lakefronts and golf courses throughout North Idaho and Eastern Washington, creating places where families gather, memories form, and heaven touches earth. Our work includes custom hardscaping, outdoor kitchens, water features, and complete landscape installations.
We're not the biggest firm. We're not trying to be. We're trying to be faithful - to Jesus, to our clients, to our team, and to the craft itself.
That means excellence without compromise. Premium materials and craftsmanship. Designs that marry beauty with function. Installations that last generations. But it also means something deeper: treating every project as an act of worship, every client interaction as ministry, and every team member as family bought by the blood of Christ.
Our field crews work four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, because we respect the physical demands of the work they do. Our office team works Monday through Friday, 9-5. Sundays are sacred. We believe you can build something exceptional without sacrificing everything else that matters.
We're looking for people who see this work the way we do - not just as a job, but as a calling. People who take pride in their craft. Who show up with integrity. Who understand that putting their trust and hope in Jesus Christ means obeying Him in all things - including how we work, how we treat people, and how we build.
If that resonates, we'd love to talk.

Our Team

Randy - Founder From a cold bathroom floor to building a $2.5M company - Randy's story is Cross Creek's story. What started as surrender to Jesus became a vision to bring heaven to earth through landscape construction. He leads with faith, fights battles in prayer, and believes the best work comes from people who see their craft as calling.

Hilary - Office Manager The glue holding everything together. Hilary has a supernatural ability to stay calm when chaos hits, keeping operations running smoothly across two offices. Smart, organized, and seemingly immune to being overwhelmed - if you need something handled, she's already three steps ahead.

Brittany - Designer The real brains of the operation. Brittany transforms client dreams into detailed designs, navigates technology like it's second nature, and gets things done fast. Tech-forward and sharp, she's proof that creativity and efficiency don't have to be at odds.

Branden - Project Manager Talented builder and genuinely fun to be around. Branden keeps projects moving, problems solved, and the energy positive. He's the guy who can read a job site and read a room equally well.

John - Foreman Faith-filled, fearless, and effective. John kills jobs and demons with equal conviction. When he's running a crew, you know the work will be excellent and the enemy won't have a foothold. He leads with both competence and spiritual authority.

Josh - Foreman The ultimate construction learner. Josh can pick up any new skill and execute it well. Talented builder with personality to match - he makes hard work look easier than it is and keeps the crew laughing while they're doing it.

Anthony - Repair Manager Super funny, occasionally moody, but the sweetest and most trustworthy guy you'll meet. Anthony handles the chaos of repair work with humor and heart. When something breaks, he's the calm in the storm.

Corey - Lead Always excited or always pissed - there's no in-between with Corey. But that intensity makes him an incredible worker. Knowledgeable on irrigation systems and willing to push through anything. You always know where you stand with him.

Elijah - Lead Incredibly humble and relentlessly hardworking. Elijah doesn't need the spotlight - he just needs to know what needs to be done, and he'll do it right. The kind of guy who makes everyone around him better by example.

Jonah - Builder Funny, laid-back, and experienced with outdoor structures. Jonah brings both skill and ease to the job site. He's the guy who can frame a pergola and crack a joke in the same breath, making tough days feel lighter.

Our Culture

Most companies talk about culture. We live ours.

At Cross Creek, culture isn't ping pong tables or casual Fridays. It's a 5:25pm shutdown when the rest of the industry works until dark. It's field crews getting four 10-hour days because we respect what their bodies go through. It's Sunday phone sabbaths because rest isn't optional - it's biblical.

It's also spiritual warfare.

We don't just pray before meetings. We command demons to flee from job sites. We protect each other in prayer when the enemy attacks. When John says he kills jobs and demons, he's not being dramatic - he's being literal. This is a workplace where the presence of Jesus isn't a nice idea, it's the foundation everything else is built on.

We carry each other's burdens. When someone's struggling - financially, spiritually, emotionally - the team shows up. Not with corporate HR solutions, but with actual help. Meals. Prayer. Honest conversation. Money if that's what's needed. We're family bought by the blood of Christ, and we act like it.

Excellence matters here, but not at the expense of people. We're scaling toward $3M+ and expanding into new markets, but we're doing it without sacrificing marriages, health, or sanity. The work is hard - landscape construction always is - but the culture isn't toxic. You can build something exceptional and still make it home for dinner.

We worship the Lord unashamed. That means different things for different people on the team, but nobody hides their faith here. If you're the type who wants to keep Jesus in your back pocket at work, this isn't your place. But if you're tired of compartmentalizing your life - pretending to be one person at church and another person on the job - this might be exactly where you belong.

The humor is real. Anthony's moody-but-sweet. Corey's either fired up or fired up angry. Jonah keeps it light. We laugh a lot, even when the work is brutal. Maybe especially when the work is brutal.

We love our neighbors as ourselves - and in this business, that means clients, subcontractors, suppliers, even competitors. Mike from Alderwood is technically our competitor and also our mentor. That's how we operate. There's enough work for everyone, and kingdom building doesn't happen through cutthroat tactics.

This isn't a culture you can fake your way through. If you're here for a paycheck, you'll feel it. If you're here because you want to follow Jesus with your whole life and happen to be really good at landscape construction, you'll feel that too.

We're building something that lasts longer than stone patios and retaining walls. We're building a community where everyone has a beautiful and safe place to call home - starting with our own team.

Heaven meets earth here. Not someday. Now.

Why join us?

Because you're tired of splitting yourself in half.

Most people spend 40+ hours a week pretending to be someone they're not. Faith stays hidden. Convictions get muted. You show up, do the work, collect the check, and save your real self for after 5pm.

That's exhausting. And it's not what Jesus called us to.

At Cross Creek, you don't have to choose between following Jesus and building a career. The work is the ministry. The job site is the mission field. When you're installing a patio, you're bringing heaven to earth. When you're designing an outdoor kitchen, you're creating space for families to gather and memories to form. This isn't "just landscaping" - it's kingdom work.

And kingdom work comes with kingdom culture.

You'll actually have a life outside of work. Field crews get four 10-hour days. Office shuts down at 5pm. Sundays are sacred. We're scaling aggressively toward $3M+ and beyond, but not by burning people out. Excellence doesn't require sacrifice of everything else that matters.

You'll be spiritually protected. We don't just acknowledge spiritual warfare - we fight it. When the enemy comes against you, your family, your finances, your peace - this team will stand with you in prayer. We command demons to flee. We protect each other. You're not alone in the battle.

You'll grow faster than you thought possible. We're expanding into new markets, adding crews, taking on bigger projects. The people who join us now won't just have jobs - they'll have leadership opportunities as we scale. And you'll learn from Mike Semmerad, one of the best in the industry, who's personally mentoring our growth.

You'll work with people who actually care. When someone's struggling, we show up. With prayer. With help. With whatever's needed. We carry each other's burdens because that's what family does. And we're family - bought by the blood of Christ, united by mission, committed to each other's good.

You'll do work that matters. We're not building disposable landscapes. We're creating spaces that last generations. Premium materials, exceptional craftsmanship, designs that honor both beauty and function. You'll take pride in what you build because it's worthy of pride.

You'll be part of something bigger. Our vision isn't just to grow a successful company. It's to build a community where everyone has a beautiful and safe place to call home. Every project moves that vision forward. Every client interaction is an opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ. Every day is a chance to bring heaven to earth NOW.

Most companies will give you a paycheck. Some will give you benefits. A few will give you career growth.

We'll give you a place where your whole self - including your faith - isn't just tolerated, it's expected. Where your work has eternal significance. Where you're protected, valued, challenged, and supported.

Where you can stop splitting yourself in half.

Remember: Christ died to set us FREE from the bonds of sin, not so we could continue living in it forever! Trust Jesus, Fear God, Walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.

If you're ready to follow Jesus with your whole life and build something exceptional while you're doing it, let's talk.

This is where heaven meets earth. And there's room for you here.
