About the Job
Landscape Construction Foreman
Cross Creek Landscape Design + Build  |  Coeur d’Alene, ID  |  Full-Time

Lead the crews building North Idaho’s most ambitious backyards.
Cross Creek Landscape Design + Build takes projects from a fully rendered 3D concept to a finished, resort-quality outdoor space — in-house, start to finish, with no outsourcing the build. We’re growing, and we need a Foreman who can run our crews and equipment to the same standard we hold ourselves to: on time, on budget, and built right.

About Us
Founded and still run by lifelong locals, Cross Creek designs and builds custom hardscapes, water features, outdoor kitchens, fire features, and landscape lighting systems for homeowners across Coeur d’Alene and North Idaho. We keep the work — and the craftsmanship — in-house, which means whoever runs our crews has real influence over how a project turns out and how our name is remembered on that street.

About the Role
You’ll be the person on-site turning a design into reality: running equipment, directing the crew, staying ahead of the schedule, and catching problems before they become budget overruns. Twelve months in, you’ll be the Foreman clients ask for by name — and the one newer crew members go to when something needs to be done right.

What You’ll Do:
  • Operate and direct the use of excavators, skid steers, and dozers on active job sites.
  • Lead the build-out of hardscape features — retaining walls, paver patios, walkways, and driveways — to Cross Creek’s quality standard.
  • Oversee installation of water features, including bubblers, ponds, and custom waterfalls.
  • Install and troubleshoot landscape lighting systems, working with the suppliers we use across the region.
  • Keep projects on schedule and on budget, flagging risks to ownership before they become problems.
  • Manage and mentor crew members on-site, setting the pace and the standard.
  • Communicate daily progress and any site issues to the project manager and ownership.

What We’re Looking For:
Required:
  • 3+ years leading a crew and operating heavy equipment (excavator, skid steer, dozer) on landscape or construction sites.
  • Hands-on experience with hardscape construction, including retaining walls and paver installation.
  • Experience with water feature installation — bubblers, waterfalls, ponds, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of landscape lighting systems and installation.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • A real driver — someone who takes ownership of a job site and doesn’t need to be chased for results.
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with the landscape lighting suppliers and product lines used in the North Idaho market.
  • Knowledge of native plants and trees, (aka what is deer candy and what is not).
  • Experience mentoring or training crew members.
  • OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety training.

Compensation:
$50,000–$80,000/year depending on experience, plus bonus incentives tied to finishing jobs on time and on budget. This is a role where your performance on every project shows up in your paycheck.

About Cross Creek Landscape Design & Build
Cross Creek started with a promise made on a cold bathroom floor - a commitment to follow Jesus wherever He led, even when the path seemed impossible. What began as one man knocking on doors in Coeur d'Alene with nothing but faith and a borrowed trailer has grown into a $2.5 million luxury landscape design and build firm with offices in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Spokane, Washington, and plans to expand further.
But growth was never the goal. Bringing heaven to earth was.
We exist because Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. He rescued our founder from darkness and gave him a vision - not just for a business, but for a life surrendered to obedience. Every project we take on, every client we serve, every decision we make flows from that surrender. This isn't a company that happens to have Christian owners. This is a ministry that designs and builds outdoor living spaces.
Today, we transform luxury landscapes along lakefronts and golf courses throughout North Idaho and Eastern Washington, creating places where families gather, memories form, and heaven touches earth. Our work includes custom hardscaping, outdoor kitchens, water features, and complete landscape installations.
We're not the biggest firm. We're not trying to be. We're trying to be faithful - to Jesus, to our clients, to our team, and to the craft itself.
That means excellence without compromise. Premium materials and craftsmanship. Designs that marry beauty with function. Installations that last generations. But it also means something deeper: treating every project as an act of worship, every client interaction as ministry, and every team member as family bought by the blood of Christ.
Our field crews work four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, because we respect the physical demands of the work they do. Our office team works Monday through Friday, 9-5. Sundays are sacred. We believe you can build something exceptional without sacrificing everything else that matters.
We're looking for people who see this work the way we do - not just as a job, but as a calling. People who take pride in their craft. Who show up with integrity. Who understand that putting their trust and hope in Jesus Christ means obeying Him in all things - including how we work, how we treat people, and how we build.
If that resonates, we'd love to talk.

Mission: To follow Jesus, and design some very cool stuff along the way.

Purpose: Cross Creek Landscape exists to bring Heaven to Earth NOW.

Vision: Build a community where everyone has a beautiful and safe place to call home.

Our Values:

Fervently love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength
Love our neighbors as ourselves
Keep the commandments of God
Carry each other's burdens
Worship the Lord alone
Protect each other with prayer
Command the enemy to flee - he is not welcome here
when you see a need -> Help. Period.
